The law in force of «Patrimonio Histórico Artístico» of 1985 obliges the owners to let free access for visiting purposes four days per month.
In consequence the owners have established the following visiting table:
- Visits are allowed on Sundays throughout the whole year..
The visit takes from 2 to 3 hours, and a mountain on 170 m of unevenness must be climbed on foot.
Visitors are strongly committed not to throw litter and to be respectful with the ruins.
The surroundings of the ruins is an Area of Special Protection of Birds, and a highly vulnerable ecosystem. Therefore the access with pets or any kind of animals is prohibited.
We, the owners, do not organize guided visits. However, we have knowledge of the following possibilities for guided visits:
- The Town hall of Ayora organizes guided visits during the celebration of the First cut of the honey.
- Some companies offer guided tours. For example, «Caroche Treks» offers tours every Sunday. People interested in these tours can contact Vicente at 685 98 42 12.
